Blue Fin Capital believes that to service our clients effectively and efficiently, we need to develop long-term, trusting relationships with our clients.  As such, we maintain a deep commitment to keeping your personal and financial information private.  In the course of providing investment advisory services to you, we need to collect and maintain certain nonpublic personal information about you.  This Privacy Policy Statement will answer the essential questions about what nonpublic personal information we collect, what we do with that information, and the measures we take to protect it.  Please retain this Privacy Policy Statement for your records.

 

What Information Does Blue Fin Capital Collect?

 

The nonpublic personal information that we collect falls into the following primary categories:

 

  • Information That We Receive From You on Applications or Other Forms: We receive and store the information that you provide on your application or give to us in any other way.  For example, we collect information on your Confidential Investor Profile, such as your name, address, income and debts.

 

  • Information About Your Transactions With Us, Our Affiliates or Others: We collect and maintain information about your transactions with us, including the total value of your assets held with us and the identity and amount of securities we have bought and sold for your account.

 

What Information Does Blue Fin Capital Disclose?

 

We disclose the nonpublic personal information described above, when it is necessary to do so to provide you with the financial services you request of us.  We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about former clients at any time (except as required or permitted by law), and Blue Fin Capital does not sell personal information of any prospective client, existing client or former client.

 

To Whom Does Blue Fin Capital Disclose This Information?

 

We consider the information provided by our clients to be a vital part of our relationship with our clients and we treat it with great care and respect.  We may disclose some or all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform services, including marketing services, on our behalf.  These companies are contractually obligated to keep this information confidential and use it only for the purposes of performing services for us.  We may also share such nonpublic personal information with financial service providers such as banks, investment advisers and investment companies, with whom we have joint marketing agreements.

Finally, we may provide nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.  This may include disclosing information in some of the following situations:

  • Third Party Service Providers:  Blue Fin Capital, like many companies that serve consumers, hires other companies to perform certain functions.  Examples include managing our database and mailing requested information such as newsletters.  When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information they need to complete the task and they are not allowed to use that information for any other purpose.

 

  • To Carry Out A Transaction At Your Request:  Blue Fin Capital works with investment companies to perform the financial services you have requested.  In order to efficiently provide these services, we may need to disclose your nonpublic personal information to the investment companies. 

 

  • With Your Consent:  We pride ourselves on the personalized service we deliver to our clients.  In order to fulfill your needs, we may need to disclose your nonpublic personal information, in accordance with your direction or consent.

 

  • For Your/Our Protection:  We may release nonpublic personal information when we believe that such release is appropriate to protect the confidentiality and security of our or your information, to enforce our other agreements, or to prevent actual or potential fraud.

 

  • As Required By Law:  We may be required to disclose nonpublic personal information to comply with the law, including a government investigation, court order, tax information or subpoena.  If we receive a subpoena or similar legal process demanding release of any information about you, we will generally attempt to notify you before we comply with the release unless we are unable to or not allowed to do so.


  • Business Transfers:  As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets.  In transactions such as these, customer information is generally one of the transferred business assets.  Moreover, in the unlikely event that Blue Fin Capital is acquired, customer information may be one of the transferred assets.


How Does Blue Fin Capital Protect the Confidentiality and Security of Information?


Blue Fin Capital restricts access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards relating to the maintenance and disposal of your nonpublic personal information to protect your privacy.


This Privacy Policy describes the policies, as amended or otherwise changed from time to time, applicable to the disclosure and use by Blue Fin Capital, Inc.  of nonpublic personal information concerning our clients.  The privacy and security of your personal information is of great importance to us.  We will take appropriate measures to protect the nonpublic personal information provided by and collected from you in connection with the functions, facilities, products, and services we offer.  When used in this Privacy Policy, the words “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Blue Fin Capital and its agents (including third parties who may assist us in managing the database and mailing requested information).  “You” and “your” means any person using our services.
