As co-president of Blue Fin Capital, Mars delivers comprehensive financial and investment advice to the firm’s clients. With more than 25 years of experience in equity research, investing, and trading, Mars believes the financial markets are always filled with opportunities regardless of the economic environment.
Prior to Blue Fin Capital, Mars worked in New York City. He was an associate vice president in the equity research department of Prudential Securities, Inc. and held positions in the capital markets division and Over-The-Counter equities department at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Company.
Mars earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) and a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR), the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (ICFA), and the New York Society of Security Analysts Association (NYSSA). He is a longtime resident of Barrington, RI, and has served on various community investment committees, including those of the Providence Public Library and St. Andrew's School.
